FAQ
Q. What do I get when I sign up for boot camp?
This program is a 4 week long commitment. The workouts take place outside and are one hour in duration. Depending on the particular camp you sign up for will determine what days of the week your camp is held on. We have camps Monday-Friday, morning and evening in most areas. Visit our registration or calendar pages to check on your particular city.
Q. What makes your Boot Camp different then other workout programs?
This is a tested and proven system that will work to get you in the best shape of your life, guaranteed. Please visit our testimonial page, to read stories of actual boot camper’s that have had their lives changed by Tony and Molli’s system.
We believe our system to be entirely unique, we work hard to make every day at camp different and fun. This serves two purposes; #1. to ensure that our clients are happy and never bored and 2. to ensure that your body will not plateau from doing the same workout day after day, as with most other programs.
The results speak for themselves. The workouts are tough but we do our best to make it as enjoyable as possible. We firmly believe there is not a more fun way to drop fat on the planet!
Q. What if I’m a beginner and new to exercise?
We recommend that beginner’s start out with our 3 day a week program, for their first session. Expect to experience muscle soreness in your first few days at camp and, remember, that is normal. Read the testimonial page to see how other campers felt on their first week and realize you’re not alone, if you’re feeling nervous and a little scared, everybody feels that way, their first week of camp.
Q. What if I need to lose weight quickly because I have an event coming up?
If you are on a time table because of an upcoming event like a wedding or reunion or your Doctor has demanded that you drop weight immediately, we recommend adding our nutrition program to your order for boot camp. Although we give general nutrition advice to everyone involved in our camps, if time is of the essence it will benefit you to get a program designed for you personally. Adding our nutrition program to your package will entail following a diet made by a registered dietitian, us coming to your house and clearing out your cupboards and teaching you what will help you get to your goals the fastest! Again it’s strict but well worth it!
Q. What kind of results can I expect from my first camp?
Assuming you are looking to lose fat and tone up. That will depend on how much you are willing to change your diet, the more you are willing to adapt to the lifestyle changes we will recommend to you over the course of camp the more dramatic your results will be. If you follow the recommendations we give you at camp you can expect amazing results in just 4 weeks time. If you simply show up for camp and opt not to change anything else about your current eating habits you can typically expect to see about a 3 inch loss.
Q. What if I don’t want to lose any weight I just want to firm up and get stronger?
We promote health first and foremost. Your body fat percentage will be checked on the first day of camp and from that we will determine together whether your body fat composition is at a healthy place or not. Often times even skinny people have a body fat percentage that is not in a healthy range. That is something you will not know until you actually get it checked. Looking skinny does not mean that your body composition is optimal. Many people come to us thinking they just need to put muscle on and they are correct but often times they also need to drop fat as well. For those looking to just gain muscle you can absolutely do that if you follow our recommendations.
Q. What if I love it and want to come back for another round of boot camp?
Our program runs year round and we have about an 80% return rate of campers that become addicted to this form of workout. We offer programs for those that never want to leave. See “addicted” program on our registration page.
Q. How do I sign up?
Simply go to the registration page and go through the registration process. Fill out all the questionnaires and be as detailed as you can be. Really tell us what you’re looking to accomplish and it’s just a pet peeve of mine, due to too many years in the business, but if you write that you want to lose weight. Lose is spelled “lose” not loose (that spells loose as in a floozie or how you want your jeans to feel) and do you actually want to lose weight or wouldn’t you prefer to lose “fat” instead?
Ok that’s my first soap box, there will be many more to follow, after you sign up J
Once you register, we will be contacting you to let you know exactly where to meet for camp, what to bring and if there are any questions we had for you based on what we saw on your health questionnaire.
Q. Where exactly is camp held?
Because we have various locations that will depend on which camp you sign up for. When you register it will tell you the city and location you are signing up for. We typically, do not give the exact location, as to where we set up, until you have actually signed up for camp. We treat our campers with the utmost respect and believe they deserve privacy. Only those that have actually shown the same commitment as our enrolled campers are allowed to watch or participate in camp. If you need more specifics than what is on the registration page, then give us a call.
Q. What if I’m not sure and I just want to try it out?
Great question, periodically, throughout the year we offer “bring a friend days” or special one-day trial camps. Sign up for our free monthly newsletter to hear when those days come up. Other then that we do not offer “free trial days.” We focus all of our attention on our campers that were prepared to commit and we don’t want anytime taken away from them. Please read our testimonial page if you have any hesitation or give us a call we may be able to answer more questions for you and help you decide if camp, is in fact, for you or not.
Q. What is a typical day like at camp? What type of exercises should I expect? Anything and everything! That is a really difficult question to answer because each day is intentionally different to alleviate boredom and break plateaus. We don’t have typical days - if you wanted the same routine day after day, then you would probably join a fitness center. You can expect a mixture of cardio exercises, speed and agility work, Pilates mat work, and yoga, running for those that are able, power walking for those that prefer not to run, (running is never forced on anyone). You can expect that every day will have a form of weight training and high intensity cardio work. Some days you will be met with obstacle courses, and jumping rope, Calisthenics such as jumping jacks, push ups and sit ups. On special days, we will go hiking and play sports-related games. It's always an adventure, and you'll always have fun! Molli & Tony teach you a great deal about proper form and "core stability." Each day is designed to be fun and different - and never boring. You will be place in a group based on your ability level, so you will always feel like you were pushed, but never over your head.
Q. What do I need to bring to camp? An exercise mat, water bottle, small hand weights (5-8 lbs.), running shoes, and a sense of fun and adventure. Everything but the sense of fun and adventure can be purchased at any local Target, Wal-Mart, or Sports Authority for about $15 or less.
Q. What kind of people go to camp?
A great mixture of people. Many people just need a little push to jump start their fitness program; others have a fitness program but are tired of the same old routine and are looking for something fun and different. Most campers have some history of exercise, but it’s not required. Both novice and veteran exercisers will find boot camp to be a challenging and fun workout experience. Remember *anyone over the age of sixteen and ALL fitness levels are welcome and encouraged! If you have someone under the age of sixteen that you would like to have attend camp, you can give us a call and tell us the circumstances, in some events we allow thirteen and over to come to camp if the parent of guardian will be attending with them.
- *Everyone must have a full medical release from their doctor to workout, with no restrictions. If you are not sure then give us a call
Q .Is there a refund policy?
We have a NO REFUND POLICY. If you are unable to attend camp due to circumstances out of your control, we can offer you a refund if you notify us prior to your session start date however we will charge a $50.00 cancellation fee. If we are notified after your session begins, we can only give you a credit towards another boot camp. Or if you have a medially related reason as to why you cannot attend we can usually offer you credit or a partial refund after receiving written notice from your Doctor.
Q. Are there shower facilities, or a place where I can get ready for work?
No, we do not have shower facilities, Some campers that have a gym membership have been known to go there to get ready for work. We are located near a 24 Hour Fitness and a LA Fitness.
